Cyprus national basketball team prepares for FIBA World Cup 2027 qualifiers

The Cyprus national basketball team is set to compete in the FIBA World Cup 2027 qualifiers. The team faces Croatia at the Spyros Kyprianou Athletic Center in Limassol today at 20:00, followed by an away game against Germany on July 6. Head coach Antonis Konstantinidis expressed optimism regarding the team's preparation and collective effort. Team captains Simon Michail and Nikos Stylianou emphasized the goal of fostering team unity. Additionally, the new board of the Cyprus Basketball Federation (KOK), led by president Louis Demetriou, held meetings with club chairmen to discuss organizational improvements and league development. Alexis Zachariou has been appointed as the new head of the National Teams Committee.
