Weather report for Cyprus: Typical temperatures and forecast of possible rain

Meteorological officer Michalis Mouskos reported that June in Cyprus passed without heatwaves, as hot air masses remained trapped in Central and Southeast Europe. Temperatures are currently within seasonal norms, with highs reaching 37°C in the interior and up to 34°C on the northern coast. Humidity during nighttime and morning hours is expected to cause localized fog and low clouds. From Sunday through Wednesday, weather instability is predicted, with chances of isolated rain or thunderstorms in the interior, mountains, and potentially the Karpasia peninsula. By Monday, temperatures are expected to drop by approximately 3°C to around 35°C. Winds are forecasted to be moderate to strong, reaching force 5 to 6 on the Beaufort scale in coastal areas. The Department of Meteorology notes that seasonal low pressure is currently affecting the island.
