Authorities issue arrest warrant for suspect in Monaco parcel bombing
On Monday, an explosive parcel detonated in front of a ground-floor flat in Monaco, injuring three people including Ukrainian-born businessman Vadym Yermolaiev, his partner, and his son. Monaco prosecutor Stephane Thibault stated the device exploded at the victims' residence. Authorities initially investigated a male suspect, but have now identified a woman as the primary suspect. The suspect was captured on CCTV wearing a dark bucket hat and top, and is believed to have fled on foot into France, which maintains open borders with the principality. On Thursday, authorities issued an arrest warrant for the woman and requested an Interpol Red Notice for her capture. Judicial sources reported on Friday that the suspect has been spotted in Germany. Officials are expected to provide further details regarding the ongoing investigation on Friday morning.
