Major road and water infrastructure upgrades scheduled for Limassol

The Municipality of Limassol has signed contracts with Cyfield Asphalt Co Ltd and Araco Construction CY Ltd for a road upgrade project valued at over 7.9 million euros plus VAT. The project includes asphalt paving, localized repairs, and new road markings across numerous neighborhoods including Agios Nektarios, Agios Nikolaos, Kapsalos, and others, with completion scheduled by November 2026. Simultaneously, the Limassol District Organization (EOA) announced plans to replace aging water pipelines in specific city areas due to frequent damages. These water infrastructure works are expected to begin on Monday, July 6, 2026, and will last approximately five months. Both projects will result in temporary traffic disruptions and road construction across the city. Authorities have requested public patience while these works proceed to improve the city's infrastructure quality and safety. The upgrades are part of a broader municipal effort to modernize urban transit and utility networks.
