Diplomatic meetings in Cyprus discuss post-war governance plans for the Gaza Strip

Recent meetings held in Cyprus involving the Palestinian Technocratic Committee (NCAG), Board of Peace advisors, Nikolay Mladenov, and Tony Blair have addressed the post-war governance of the Gaza Strip. The discussions focused on specific timelines, security arrangements, and governance models, marking a shift from general principles to practical implementation. A key finding from these meetings is that the proposed humanitarian zone plan would proceed without waiting for the complete disarmament of Hamas. Infrastructure preparations are estimated to take three to six months, with the goal of establishing a 'yellow zone' for displaced civilians. The initial relocation site is planned for the Tel al-Sultan area, with the intent to eventually expand these temporary communities to house hundreds of thousands of people. These developments have not yet been officially confirmed by any of the involved parties.
