Sanrio opens the world's largest Hello Kitty cafe in Chicago

The world's largest Hello Kitty cafe opened at 360 Michigan Avenue in Chicago, marking the brand's first location in the U.S. Midwest. Spanning 740 square meters across two levels, the facility offers panoramic views of the city and the Chicago River. The menu features themed food and drinks, including bow-shaped waffles, signature lemonades, and various flavored macarons. A dedicated VIP space known as the Bow Room is available by reservation and can accommodate up to 50 guests. This private area includes its own entrance, themed decor, photobooths, and interactive backgrounds for social media users. The cafe's interior design utilizes a palette of pink and blue tones with architectural nods to the city of Chicago. The establishment officially opened its doors in early July 2026.
