Willy Semedo signs two-year contract with Dubai United

Former Omonia winger Willy Semedo has officially announced his transfer to the United Arab Emirates-based club Dubai United. The 30-year-old player confirmed he has signed a two-year contract with the team. Semedo expressed his enthusiasm about the move, specifically noting the opportunity to work under the club's head coach, Italian legend Andrea Pirlo. Prior to this announcement, reports on June 29 from UAEkick had suggested ongoing negotiations between Semedo and the club. The striker previously played for Omonia in Cyprus and Al-Faisaly in Saudi Arabia. The club's president is identified as former Moldovan goalkeeper Ilie Cebanu. Semedo recently participated in the World Cup with Cape Verde before finalizing his future career path.
