Three arrested following assault on a 47-year-old man in Ayia Napa
Three 18-year-olds have been arrested in connection with a violent assault on a 47-year-old Turkish Cypriot man in Ayia Napa. The victim was discovered early Sunday morning around 6:00 a.m. suffering from a brain hemorrhage and a skull base fracture. He was initially transported to Famagusta General Hospital before being intubated and transferred to Nicosia General Hospital, where he remains in serious but stable condition. Police in the Famagusta district are investigating the incident, with some witness reports suggesting the involvement of a group of foreign nationals, while other sources simply refer to a group of unidentified individuals. The Famagusta Criminal Investigation Department (CID) continues to examine the case. The arrests were made following judicial warrants to facilitate the ongoing investigation. The victim's situation has prompted statements from Turkish Cypriot leader Tufan Erhurman, who confirmed that authorities are monitoring the legal and medical developments.
