Biography of footballer Carlos Tevez

Carlos Tevez was born on February 5, 1984, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His biological father died in a gang-related shooting before Tevez was born. At three months old, Tevez was placed in the care of his aunt, Adriana Martinez, and her husband, Segundo Tevez, because his biological mother, Fabiana Martinez, was unable to raise him. Tevez refers to his aunt and uncle as his parents. As an infant, Tevez suffered severe third-degree burns on his face, neck, and chest after an accident involving boiling water. He spent two months in intensive care due to these injuries. Later in life, Tevez re-established contact with his biological mother. He has stated that he has 17 siblings in total across both families, one of whom is currently incarcerated.
