Road infrastructure upgrades and maintenance in Paphos
The Municipality of Paphos is conducting an extensive road upgrade program to address degraded surfaces and potholes. Completed projects include Petridion Avenue, the central avenue in Anavargos, and the area near the hospital. Acting Mayor Aggelos Onisiforou stated that these works aim to ensure traffic safety and improve urban connectivity. Additionally, the road in Konia will be closed from July 9 to July 19 to finalize construction at the bridge site. Upon completion, the Konia road will operate as a two-way route to improve local traffic flow. The municipality has acknowledged the inconvenience caused to residents and drivers by these disruptions. Local authorities emphasize that these infrastructure improvements are essential for the city's long-term traffic efficiency. Future plans involve extending these upgrades to all problematic sections of the city's road network.
