Road infrastructure works and traffic updates in Nicosia, Paphos, and Limassol
Several municipalities in Cyprus have announced ongoing road maintenance and construction projects scheduled for mid-July 2026. In Nicosia, the fifth phase of the Prince Karolos street upgrade begins on July 9, 2026, for six months, with traffic diverted towards Agios Dometios. Additionally, Stasandrou and Nikodimou Milona streets will be closed for city center works between July 11 and July 12. In Limassol, Public Works will repair an irrigation pipe on the bypass on July 8 and clean the Limassol-Saittas motorway on July 10, affecting traffic flow. In Paphos, Mayor-elect Angelos Onisiforou announced that the road to Konia will remain closed from July 9 to July 19 for final bridge works. Furthermore, Paphos is conducting extensive cleaning and asphalt paving projects, including the creation of 40 new parking spaces behind the Sklavenitis store in Kato Paphos. Motorists are advised to follow local signage and diversions to avoid congestion across all affected areas.
