Leonardo DiCaprio to star in Heat 2
Leonardo DiCaprio has officially agreed to star in Michael Mann's sequel to the 1995 film Heat. According to The Wrap, production is scheduled to begin in November and will span six to seven months across multiple countries. DiCaprio will portray Chris Shiherlis, the role originally played by Val Kilmer. The actor spent six months deliberating between the characters of Neil McCauley and Chris Shiherlis before choosing the latter. Christian Bale is reportedly cast as Vincent Hanna, replacing Al Pacino, while Adam Driver is set to play Otis Wardell. There are ongoing discussions for Stephen Graham to potentially take on the role of Neil McCauley, originally played by Robert De Niro. Additionally, rumors suggest Jason Clarke may play the character of Nate, previously portrayed by Jon Voight. The film is based on a novel written by Michael Mann.
