Cyprus ranked fourth globally for wealthy investor relocation in 2026 report
The Henley & Partners report, 'Millionaires on the Move: Winners, Losers, and the Global Competition for Wealth in 2026', has ranked Cyprus fourth globally and first in Europe for attracting wealthy individuals. The country achieved a structural score of 73.5, reflecting its appeal for long-term residency. Key factors contributing to this ranking include flexible residency laws, a favorable tax regime, a stable legal system, and European Union membership. The report lists Singapore at the top with a score of 79.5, followed by New Zealand (75.8) and the Cayman Islands (74.3). Other nations in the top ten include the Netherlands, Portugal, Italy, Bermuda, Hungary, and Latvia. In contrast, the 2025 report by the same firm, using data from New World Wealth, ranked Cyprus 17th, noting the relocation of 250 millionaires who transferred 2.6 billion US dollars. The current report highlights Cyprus's improved positioning regarding its business-friendly environment and connectivity to Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
