Recent reports of robbery and assault in Larnaca and Limassol
Police in Cyprus are investigating two separate criminal cases occurring this week. In Larnaca, a 65-year-old man reported being assaulted, robbed of €300 and personal belongings, and abducted by three men on Monday. The victim stated he was forced into a vehicle and taken to his own property, where the perpetrators stole additional items. Three suspects aged 32, 42, and 44 were subsequently arrested in the Nicosia district and are appearing before the Larnaca District Court. Separately, in Limassol, a 21-year-old food delivery driver was assaulted and robbed of €1,800 in the early hours of Wednesday. Three unidentified individuals on mopeds blocked the victim's car, dragged him out, and inflicted facial injuries. The victim was treated at the Limassol General Hospital and discharged, while the Limassol CID continues to investigate the case. No arrests have been reported yet for the Limassol incident.
