EAC employees to initiate industrial action on July 9, 2026

EAC employee unions are escalating their industrial action starting Thursday to protest high electricity costs and supply issues. While safety staff will maintain essential power generation, management of grid stability and potential outages remains the responsibility of the Transmission System Operator.
