Cyprus concludes EU-funded professional training initiative

On July 2, 2026, the Human Resource Development Authority of Cyprus (AnAD) and the Cyprus Productivity Centre (KEPA) held an event to present the results of a training initiative under the Recovery and Resilience Plan. Minister of Labour and Social Insurance, Marinos Mousiouttas, attended the presentation along with social partners and stakeholders. The program recorded over 28,700 participations, exceeding the initial target of 25,600. Training sessions focused on digital skills, the green and blue economy, and entrepreneurship. These programs were provided free of charge to beneficiaries using European Union funds. For the first time, eligibility was extended beyond employees and the unemployed to include public servants and the self-employed. The initiative aimed to upgrade the workforce's skills to meet modern labour market demands. The event marked the official conclusion of this national effort.
