Nea Salamina mourns the death of Andreas Tzionis
Andreas Tzionis, a former player and coach for Nea Salamina Famagusta, has passed away. Known by the nickname 'Zavrotemono' for his strong left foot, Tzionis played for the club from 1962 to 1972. During his decade with the team, he recorded 204 official appearances and scored 47 goals. Following his playing career, he served the club as a coach. The Nea Salamina board of directors issued an official statement honoring his contributions and character. His funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, July 7, at 4:00 p.m. at the Holy Church of Agia Thekla in Agioi Anargyroi II. The family has requested that donations be made to the Red Cross in lieu of flowers.
