Cyprus honors corporate sponsors for EU Council Presidency

On Monday, Deputy Minister for European Affairs Marilena Raouna held an event to honor the key sponsors of the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union. CYTA and Ayia Napa Marina were recognized as the two major sponsors, while EKO Cyprus and Coca-Cola HBC Cyprus were honored as gold sponsors. During the ceremony, plaques and diplomas were awarded to these organizations for their contributions. Raouna stated that preparation for the presidency began two and a half years ago. She highlighted the significance of the role for Cyprus, noting its position as a small EU member state in the Middle East and its status as a state under occupation. The initiative was guided by President Nikos Christodoulides with the objective of delivering concrete results and demonstrating Cyprus's potential within the European framework. The preparation efforts involved the mobilization of the entire public service.
