Construction sector reports output and price data for Q1 2026
According to data released by the Statistical Service, construction production in the first quarter of 2026 increased by 0.7% compared to the same period in 2025. The Production Index in Construction reached 120.74 points, based on a 2021 index of 100. Simultaneously, producer prices in the sector experienced a more significant rise. The Producer Price Index for construction reached 129.46 points for the first quarter of 2026. On a quarterly basis, these prices rose by 3% compared to the fourth quarter of 2025. When compared to the first quarter of 2025, the index showed an increase of 4.7%. These figures highlight the ongoing upward trend in costs within the construction industry. The statistical results reflect the latest sector performance as of the official reporting date.
