Cypriot para-archers compete at 2026 World Archery Para Series

The Cyprus Archery Federation participated in the 2026 World Archery Para Series, held from June 29 to July 5, 2026, in Nove Mesto nad Metuji, Czech Republic. The team consisted of athletes Christos Misos, Charalambos Hadjikonstantis, and Panagiotis Panagiotou, led by coach Dimitris Kargados. Christos Misos secured first place in the VI1 (Visually Impaired 1) qualification round with a score of 469 points over 30 meters. Panagiotis Panagiotou achieved 634 points in the Para Compound Men category, finishing 37th out of 42 participants, while Charalambos Hadjikonstantis scored 574 points, placing 42nd. The delegation set two new national records for Cyprus: Panagiotou in the individual Para Compound Men event and the pair in the Para Compound Men doubles. Additionally, the athletes underwent two new classifications during the event. The mission concluded with the team returning home with one gold medal and recognized advancements in their official performance standings.
