Drug enforcement unit arrests suspects in Limassol and Paphos

On Wednesday, the Drug Law Enforcement Unit (YKAN) in Limassol raided the residence of a 38-year-old man, discovering an indoor cannabis greenhouse. Authorities seized 544 grams of cannabis, 12 plants, and seeds. The suspect was detained and appeared before the Limassol District Court. Separately, on Monday in Paphos, police arrested a 29-year-old and a 21-year-old for possession of drugs with intent to supply and money laundering. A vehicle stop in Kato Paphos led to the seizure of 3 grams of cannabis, 0.5 grams of methamphetamine, and 700 euros. A follow-up search of their home revealed an additional 1 gram of cocaine, 10 grams of methamphetamine, 197 grams of cannabis, 73 Captagon tablets, and 4,250 euros. The Paphos District Court subsequently issued a six-day detention order for both suspects. Investigations in both districts remain ongoing.
