Demetris Skourides ranked among top GovTech LinkedIn creators

The Chief Scientist for Research, Innovation and Technology of Cyprus, Demetris Skourides, has been ranked 25th globally in the GovTech and Public Sector category by the platform Favikon. Within Cyprus, Skourides holds the first position in this category and the seventh overall among all LinkedIn creators. The ranking is based on a Favikon score of 87.3, which measures social media influence and visibility. Skourides, who also serves as Chairman of the Board of the Research and Innovation Foundation, stated that this recognition highlights Cyprus' efforts to improve its international profile. He emphasized that the country aims to establish itself as a hub for artificial intelligence, research, and digital transformation. Skourides noted that the goal of his professional visibility is to strengthen national credibility and attract foreign investment. He currently leads the national strategy for emerging technologies in the Republic of Cyprus.
