Trial proceedings continue for January 17th Larnaca incidents

A 33-year-old man has been referred to the Larnaca Criminal Court in connection with serious incidents that occurred on January 17th. He joins five other defendants already facing charges, including a 20-year-old, two 26-year-olds, a 32-year-old, and a 48-year-old. The defendants face charges such as conspiracy to commit a felony, illegal possession and transport of firearms, possession of explosives, extortion, demanding property by threats, criminal organization membership, and assault causing actual bodily harm. Previously, the five initial defendants pleaded not guilty to these charges. Authorities are still searching for two additional suspects, aged 26 and 27, related to the same case. The court has scheduled the next hearing for September 28th.
