Cypriot swimming events held in Larnaca and Munich

The World Aquatics Day event will take place on July 8-9, 2026, at the Olympic Swimming Pool in Larnaca, Cyprus. The competition is open to 384 children aged 9-12 representing ten local nautical clubs, with the Famagusta Nautical Club fielding the largest team of 75 athletes. Concurrently, the 52nd European Junior Swimming Championships are being held in Munich, Germany, from July 7 to 12, 2026. This international event features 599 athletes from 45 European countries born between 2008 and 2012. Cyprus is represented by two swimmers, Gavriella Lympouri and Markus Androu Lagoutis, accompanied by coach Nikolas Stylianou. Both the local and international events are supported by the Cyprus Swimming Federation's sponsors, Allwyn and Arena Greece. The junior championships in Munich serve as a precursor to the European Aquatics Championships scheduled for later this summer in Paris.
