Funeral held for prominent Cypriot journalist Giorgos Tsalakos

Cypriot journalist Giorgos Tsalakos was laid to rest on Tuesday, July 7, at the Church of Saints Constantine and Helen in Aglantzia. He passed away following a prolonged battle with cancer. Tsalakos was a prominent figure in Cypriot television, with a career spanning nearly five decades. Born in Lysi, he previously worked in Greece for the PASOK press office and ERT before returning to Cyprus in 1992. Throughout his career in Cyprus, he was closely associated with major media organizations, including ANT1 Cyprus, Alpha, and Omega, serving as General Manager of Omega Channel from 2018 to 2022. The funeral was attended by House President Annita Demetriou, colleagues, friends, and family.
