Update on sewerage network construction in Limassol district

The Limassol District Local Government Organization (EOA) is currently overseeing the construction of sewerage and rainwater networks in Palodeia and other government settlements. The Palodeia project, contracted to Cybarco Contracting Ltd with supervision by the consortium ROIKOS SA and Z&A SA, has a total cost of €9.5 million excluding VAT and a duration of 30 months. To date, approximately 7.3 kilometers of sewage pipes have been laid. Current work in Palodeia is concentrated on Eleftherias Avenue and numerous other streets to connect the Avenita area to the main public network. Simultaneously, projects are ongoing in Mesa Geitonia on Kalogeropoulou and Myrtou streets, where traffic is being managed by temporary signals. Additional construction is proceeding in government settlements in Kato and Pano Polemidia, specifically on the 19th, 20th, and 21st streets, as well as in Muttagiaka on Eleftherias, Apostolou Andrea, Agiou Fanouriou, and Archiepiskopou Makariou streets. The EOA has acknowledged that these infrastructure projects cause temporary traffic disruptions and is requesting public cooperation.
