Recent Forsa poll shows AfD leading in Germany amidst skepticism over reforms

A new Forsa poll conducted for RTL/n-tv indicates that the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party remains in first place with 26% support, followed by the CDU/CSU coalition at 22%. The Green party holds 15%, while both the Left party and the Social Democratic Party (SPD) are at 12%. Discontent with the Chancellor's performance has risen to 84%, with only 14% of respondents expressing satisfaction with the work of Friedrich Merz. Regarding government reforms, 70% of participants reported they do not understand the proposed measures, and 65% do not expect them to lead to improvements. Public opinion on a proposed medical leave policy is divided, with 44% in favor of requiring a doctor's note from the first day and 55% opposed. Conversely, 52% of those surveyed believe that the government's proposal for taxing higher incomes will help reduce social inequality, while 22% disagree.
