Pafos Aphrodite Festival to host The Elixir of Love

The Pafos Aphrodite Festival 2026 will present Gaetano Donizetti's comic opera 'The Elixir of Love' on September 4 and 5. The production will take place at the Medieval Castle square in the Pafos harbor, with performances starting at 19:30. The event is a collaboration between the Alexander Spendiaryan National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Armenia and the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra. Renowned Armenian conductor Karen Durgaryan will lead the production, featuring over 150 participants including singers, musicians, and dancers. The staging offers a modern and symbolic interpretation of the 1832 classic while retaining its romantic and humorous elements. The show will feature Greek and English subtitles. Tickets are available through the Municipality of Pafos, Ticketmaster.cy, and ACS Couriers. A local ticket office will open at the harbor on August 18, operating daily from 17:00 to 22:00.
