Re-evaluation of double homicide case in Aigio
Authorities are re-evaluating the double homicide in Aigio, which originally resulted in the incarceration of the 54-year-old woman's 65-year-old partner. New forensic findings challenge the initial investigation, suggesting that the 54-year-old woman may have killed her 26-year-old son before taking her own life. Investigators noted that the son was found covered with a blanket, which indicates familiarity between the victim and the perpetrator. The woman’s injuries, previously described as defensive wounds, are now being analyzed as potential self-inflicted cuts. Authorities identified the woman as right-handed and observed that the trajectory of her stab wounds is consistent with self-inflicted trauma. Additionally, a fingerprint belonging to the woman was discovered on a closet in another bedroom, supporting the theory that she covered her son's body after the incident. Previous reports stated the woman suffered from mental health issues and her son had recently returned from Berlin to seek psychiatric care for her.
