Police arrest 52 individuals for illegal stay in Cyprus

On July 8, 2026, the Cyprus Police and the Deputy Ministry of Migration conducted a coordinated operation in the districts of Larnaca and Paphos. The operation resulted in the arrest of 52 individuals for residing illegally in the Republic of Cyprus. Authorities confirmed that repatriation procedures have already commenced for 24 of the detainees and are expected to be completed within the day.
