Summary of recent fire incidents in Cyprus

On July 11, 2026, a fire occurred in Geri, destroying two parked vehicles and damaging six others, with authorities investigating the cause. Also on July 11, a forest fire in Polemi Chrysochous, Paphos, burned 5 decares of wild vegetation and grain; it was contained within 35 minutes by the Department of Forests and Fire Service. Additionally, a fire broke out near the Sfalamiotsa Cemetery in Agios Athanasios, Limassol, affecting dry grass and trees, and was managed by ground forces and water-dropping aircraft.
