Veteran trade unionist Dimitris Konstantinou passes away

The General Council of the PEO trade union federation announced the death of veteran unionist Dimitris Konstantinou. Born in Agios Dometios in 1951, Konstantinou came from a working-class background and pursued studies in accounting after graduating from high school. He began his career in the hotel industry before becoming an active member of PEO. In 1972, he was hired as the Assistant General Treasurer of the federation. He was elected General Treasurer in 1977, a position he held until his retirement. Additionally, he served for many years as a member of both the General and Executive Councils of PEO. Funeral arrangements for the late unionist have not yet been finalized and will be announced at a later date.
