Apollon Limassol monitors opponents for Europa Conference League and loans out Ali Youssef

Apollon Limassol staff attended the first leg match between Dila Gori and Virtus in Georgia to scout their future opponent for the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League. The scouting team is analyzing tactical performance, including positioning and defensive strategies, in preparation for Apollon's first European match scheduled for July 23. A follow-up observation is planned for the return leg in San Marino on July 16. In parallel, the club has officially announced the departure of 25-year-old Tunisian forward Ali Youssef. He has been loaned to the Swedish club Mjällby AIF until December 2026. The agreement reportedly includes a purchase option for the Swedish team. Youssef was previously left out of Apollon’s pre-season training camp in the Netherlands due to ongoing transfer negotiations. This move is intended to free up a spot in the club's 'List A' roster, facilitating further recruitment plans for the team.
