Agreement signed for the operation of the Lemba Cultural Village

On Thursday, the Deputy Ministry of Culture of Cyprus signed an agreement for the management and operation of the Lemba Cultural Village. The agreement was signed by the Deputy Ministry's Director General, Giorgos Papageorgiou, and the administrator of the company Technourgeio Ltd, Agis Georgiadis, who won the concession contract. The project, which cost approximately 4 million euros and was funded by the state budget, covers an area of 1,800 square meters. Construction began in February 2022 following designs by architects Spyros T. Spyrou, Charis Christodoulou, and Charis Solomou. The village is intended to serve as a hub for artistic creation, international exchange, artist residencies, and educational workshops. Deputy Minister of Culture Vasiliki Kassianidou highlighted the legacy of artist Stas Paraskos in establishing the site as a center for experimentation. The signing ceremony was also attended by Lemba community leader Thoukydides Chrysostomou and project manager Giannis Sakellis.
