XM Group donates 5 million euros for fire relief and prevention in Cyprus
Following the fires of July 2025 in Limassol, the XM Group announced a 5 million euro donation to support affected communities. Part of these funds has already been provided as direct relief to residents who lost their homes. The remaining budget is funding four major infrastructure projects intended to provide recreational opportunities for youth and attract visitors. Additionally, the company is collaborating with the Cyprus Fire Service to install ten mobile water tanks across the country. These tanks are designed to serve as supplemental water collection points for aerial firefighting assets in areas lacking natural water sources. By reducing refill times for aircraft, the initiative aims to shorten response times and enhance operational efficiency during future fire incidents. The project was officially announced by the Chief of the Cyprus Fire Service, Nikos Longinos, at a press conference in Nicosia.
