XM Group provides financial support and fire safety equipment to Cyprus
Following the forest fires of July 2025 in Limassol, the XM Group pledged 5 million euros to aid recovery efforts. A portion of these funds was distributed to residents who lost their homes, while the remainder supports four infrastructure projects aimed at youth development and tourism. In collaboration with the Cyprus Fire Service, the company also funded the installation of ten mobile water tanks. These units serve as additional water intake points for aerial firefighting aircraft. The project aims to reduce refill times and improve response efficiency in areas lacking natural water sources. During a press conference in Nicosia, Cyprus Fire Service Chief Nikos Longinos acknowledged the contribution. The initiative is intended to bridge operational gaps in national firefighting capabilities.
