Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund reach agreement for the transfer of Karim Adeyemi

Barcelona has reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund to sign 24-year-old forward Karim Adeyemi. According to Fabrizio Romano, the deal includes a fixed fee of 22 million euros plus 7 million euros in potential performance-based add-ons. The player is expected to sign a five-year contract with the Spanish club. Reports from The Athletic initially indicated that Dortmund rejected an earlier bid of 20 million euros, though the situation has since progressed. Adeyemi, who joined Dortmund from Red Bull Salzburg in 2022, has recorded 36 goals and 25 assists in 146 appearances for the German club. He has also earned 11 caps for the German national team. While some sources suggest the deal is finalized, others maintain that negotiations are in the final stages of approval. The transfer does not currently affect Barcelona's pursuit of Julian Alvarez.
