Documentary series to cover 1964-1968 Turkish Cypriot enclaves

The episode examines the period from 1964 to 1968, following the intercommunal clashes that began in December 1963. During this time, Turkish Cypriots, reportedly under the guidance of the TMT organization and the Turkish Special Warfare Department, established autonomous enclaves. Sources claim that these groups withdrew from the Republic of Cyprus structures, restricted access to state authorities, and implemented self-governance policies. Conversely, the government of the Republic of Cyprus imposed an embargo on these enclaves to compel capitulation. Following a shift in President Makarios's policy in early 1968, restrictions were relaxed, allowing Turkish Cypriots to exit the enclaves for work and medical care.
