Cyprus Football Association announces reforms to judicial bodies

The Board of Directors of the Cyprus Football Association (CFA) has decided to reform its judicial framework to modernize its operations. The position of the Sports Judge is being abolished and replaced by a three-member Judicial Committee responsible for adjudicating cases. Furthermore, the role of the Disciplinary Prosecutor will be replaced by a three-member Prosecution Committee, which will prepare referrals for the Judicial Committee. Members of both committees will be appointed at a later date and will serve a two-year term. Some local media reports suggest these changes follow ongoing criticism regarding the previous system. The organization stated that the primary objective of these structural changes is to improve the administration of justice within the federation.
