Health Insurance Organization celebrates seven years of GeSY implementation
The Health Insurance Organization (HIO) held a press breakfast in Nicosia to mark the seventh anniversary of the implementation of the General Healthcare System (GeSY) in Cyprus. The Chairman of the HIO Board, Stavros Michael, addressed media representatives to discuss the current state, challenges, and future priorities of the healthcare system. Michael emphasized that the system is firmly established and intended to serve both current patients and future generations. The discussion focused on the necessity of fostering a culture of rational service utilization among both beneficiaries and healthcare providers. The HIO underscored that media feedback serves as a constructive tool for identifying weaknesses and improving operational efficiency. Officials reiterated that the organization remains committed to enhancing service quality as a primary objective.
