Recent crime and traffic incidents in Limassol
Police in Limassol are investigating three distinct incidents occurring between late June and July 2026. A 39-year-old man was arrested for a June 22 theft of property worth €26,000 and illegal possession of items including methamphetamine; a 28-year-old accomplice was arrested previously on June 24. Separately, two individuals aged 19 and 20 were arrested for a bakery robbery on July 10, where they allegedly stole a cash register containing €300. In a third incident, a 25-year-old pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Ayias Fylaxeos Avenue and 1st April Street on July 11 around 8:45 pm. The driver fled the scene without providing assistance. The victim was treated at Limassol General Hospital and discharged without serious injuries. Authorities continue to investigate all three cases, with the bakery robbery considered solved by police.
