Christos Sielis signs with OFI Crete

Cypriot international defender Christos Sielis has officially joined OFI Crete after signing a two-year contract. Born on February 2, 2000, the 26-year-old center-back previously played for APOEL, Levski Sofia, Volos NPS, and Panetolikos. Sielis has made 62 appearances for Volos and 60 for Panetolikos during his four-year tenure in the Greek league. His transfer was specifically requested by coach Christos Kontis, with whom he previously collaborated at Volos. While one report indicates the signing is finalized until 2028, another states the contract duration is two years. Sielis is expected to undergo medical examinations in Heraklion to solidify the deal. The move follows the departure of defenders Lambropoulos and Christopoulos from the team. The club currently holds a central defensive roster including Poungouras, Kostoulas, Krizmanic, and Kontekas, with plans for further defensive additions.
