Update on the APOEL investment project and organizational developments
At the annual general meeting of the APOEL club, president Kyriakos Zivanaris announced that the board will remain in office to ensure stability until the deal with investor Savvas Liasis is finalized. The club has secured 1,000,000 euros in funding from investors who will participate in the new company intended to manage future football operations. According to reports, the investment plan involves establishing a new corporate vehicle for the team. The Cyprus Football Association (KOP) has informed the parties that licensing for this new entity will be granted from March 2027 in accordance with UEFA's three-year rule, meaning the current company will continue managing football activities until that time. APOEL confirmed its commitment to these transition processes while requesting patience and support from its fans. Additionally, Zivanaris noted that a full program for the club’s centenary celebrations will be unveiled on the 26th of the month. Renovation work at the club's premises is also proceeding on schedule to host these anniversary events.
