Cyprus national teams update: U20 basketball, beach handball, and padel results

The Cyprus U20 men's basketball team participated in the FIBA U20 EuroBasket Division B in Bratislava, where they secured a narrow 60-59 victory against Kosovo. However, the team subsequently faced three consecutive defeats: 83-57 against Iceland, 73-54 against Portugal, and 74-51 against Bosnia and Herzegovina. In beach handball, the men's team competed at the EHF Championship 2026 in Zagreb, recording a 2-1 victory against Latvia and a 2-0 loss to Poland. Meanwhile, the Cyprus national youth padel team made history at the FIP Junior Euro Padel Cup 2026 in Porto, Portugal, by achieving their first-ever European victory against Moldova with a score of 2-1. The padel delegation was praised for their efforts against 18 competing countries. The beach handball tournament serves as a qualifier for the 2027 European Championship, with the men's team continuing their matches in Group A.
