Cyprus Theatre Organization announces summer production and 2026-2027 season repertoire

On July 7, 2026, the Cyprus Theatre Organization (THOC) held a press conference to introduce Euripides' 'Ion', directed by Thomas Moschopoulos, and unveil the upcoming 2026-2027 theatrical season. The 'Ion' production, featuring Giannis Tsoumarakis and Stella Fyrogeni, will premiere in Cyprus on July 16, followed by performances at the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus on August 28 and 29, marking THOC's return to the venue after eight years. THOC President Pantelis Voutouris presented the new season's repertoire, which includes classic and modern works. The Main Stage will feature Agatha Christie’s 'Murder on the Orient Express', directed by Takis Tzamargias, and Emily Bronte’s 'Wuthering Heights', directed by Achilleas Grammatikopoulos. The New Stage will host Peter Morgan’s 'Frost/Nixon', directed by Andreas Araouzos, and Anton Chekhov’s 'The Seagull', directed by Athina Kasiou. These productions highlight a diverse program incorporating local Cypriot creativity and international dramatic classics.
