Frederick University ranked in Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Rankings 2026

Frederick University has been ranked as the leading institution in Cyprus for the fourth consecutive year in the 2026 Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Rankings. The university is positioned in the 301–400 global ranking band, making it one of only three institutions in Greece and Cyprus to reach this tier and the only non-public university in the region to do so. Additionally, the institution is ranked within the top 100–200 universities globally for specific United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These rankings evaluate universities based on their contributions to the 17 UN SDGs, covering areas such as research, teaching, stewardship, and outreach. Natassa Frederickou, President of the University Council, noted that this recognition reflects the institution's commitment to addressing global challenges. The THE Sustainability Impact Rankings remain the primary global methodology for assessing university impact regarding social and environmental development.
