KOP replaces disciplinary offices with three-member committees following AEL pressure
The Cyprus Football Association (KOP) has decided to abolish the roles of the Sports Judge and the Disciplinary Prosecutor, replacing them with three-member judicial and prosecutorial committees. AEL Limassol officially welcomed this decision, viewing it as an admission that the previous system was ineffective. The club demanded that the new committees consist of individuals with integrity and independence. Specifically, AEL stated it would not accept the participation of Mr. Vryonidis and Mr. Nikolaou in the new bodies. Concurrently, AEL is focusing on roster adjustments, as player Costantini is not in the plans of coach Martins and has been instructed to seek a new club. The team completed physical examinations and is scheduled to begin training on Monday at its training center.
