Health ministry announces upgrades for paediatric oncology services
On Friday, Health Minister Neophytos Charalambides attended a ceremony at the Archbishop Makarios III hospital to accept a donation of medical equipment from the Limassol Aphrodite Lions Club. This new equipment is designed to enhance patient monitoring within the paediatric oncology unit. Minister Charalambides stated that the upgrade of paediatric and paediatric oncology services remains a primary goal for the Ministry of Health. During the event, he confirmed plans to construct a new paediatric oncology clinic adjacent to the Makarios hospital. The construction costs for this new facility will be covered by the Cleanthos Foundation. The government intends to continue investments in public health infrastructure, modern technology, and medical staff to improve the standard of care for children. These measures represent a broader effort to modernize paediatric healthcare facilities across the country.
