Miltiadis Tentoglou wins Diamond League long jump in Monaco
On Friday, July 10, Greek long jumper Miltiadis Tentoglou secured first place at the Diamond League meeting in Monaco at the Stade Louis II. The 26-year-old Olympic champion demonstrated consistent performance by recording four jumps over 8.47 meters during the competition. In his final attempt, Tentoglou achieved a mark of 8.61 meters, which established a new world-leading performance for the current year. This result is close to his personal best of 8.65 meters, set at the 2024 European Championships in Rome, and approaches the Greek national record of 8.66 meters held by Louis Tsatoumas since 2007. The athlete is coached by Giorgos Pomaski. He is currently preparing for the European Athletics Championships scheduled for August 10-16 in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
