Recent Russian strikes across Ukrainian cities result in civilian casualties
On July 11, 2026, Russia conducted a series of missile and drone attacks across multiple Ukrainian cities. Attacks in the northern city of Sumy killed four civilians and injured 17, with reports of two guided bombs hitting an area with pedestrians and public transport. In the port of Odesa, a missile strike killed two truck drivers and damaged a ship flying the flag of Saint Kitts and Nevis. Ukrainian officials, including Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, condemned the strikes as intentional attacks on civilians and urged allies to expedite the delivery of air defense systems. Separately, in the frontline city of Kramatorsk, shelling killed four people and wounded nine. Conversely, Ukrainian forces reported successful strikes on Russian naval vessels in the Sea of Azov and energy infrastructure, including refineries in Krasnodar and Leningrad regions.
